Olav Bergheim

Mr. Bergheim is the founder and Managing Director of Fjord Ventures. He has more than 30 years of experience in creating and managing life sciences companies. Mr. Bergheim’s experience includes almost 20 years of general management at Baxter Healthcare, where he was Corporate Vice President and President of the $700 million Cardiovascular Group (now Edwards Life Sciences). Prior to the Cardiovascular Group, Mr. Bergheim was President of Immunotherapy Worldwide; of BioTech Europe; and of Baxter Germany. After Baxter, Mr. Bergheim joined venture capital firm Domain Associates, LLC as a General Partner. Mr. Bergheim has led the formation of a number of companies including VenPro Corporation, Orqis Medical Corporation, Volcano Corporation, 3F Therapeutics, Cardio Polymers, Glaukos Corporation, Windy Hill Medical, Inc. and Anosia. Mr. Bergheim is currently the Chairman of the Board of Volcano Corporation (NASDAQ: VOLC); Orqis Medical Corporation; Cardio Polymers; and Dentatek. He also serves on the boards of Glaukos Corporation, Windy Hill Medical, Inc. and the Beckman Laser Institute.
